Following a resurgence of interest in natural product based drug discovery, BioFocus DPI is pleased to announce its first library of isolated natural products. 

The contribution of natural products to drug discovery remains very strong with more than 20 new natural product or natural product derived drugs launched between 2000 and 2005.  Further candidate drugs developed from natural product sources are currently being investigated in a wide range of disease areas including oncology, infection, inflammation, immunosuppression and for the treatment of neurological disorders.

The NPL01 library provides access to compounds of diverse structures that have been obtained from microbial natural sources.  Microbes are renowned for their capability of providing structurally diverse compounds with wide biological activities.
